RESERVES
mashpi - tayra
Our commitment to sustainability for future generations begins with these reserves that constitute a single body, currently encompassing 2,700 hectares in the Chocó Andino of Pichincha.
Fundación Futuro aims to consolidate this reserve by increasing its size to 5,000 hectares, in order to ensure the health and well-being of all the species within it. As well as the financing of approximately 22,600 hectares of forest remnants, in collaboration with more than 750 small landowners in the area.

RESERVES
yanacocha
The Yanacocha Reserve is a sanctuary of life in the heights of the Andes. This reserve was created to protect the Black-breasted Puffer (Eriocnemis nigrivestis), a hummingbird on the verge of extinction, which found its refuge in this space. Here, between the high Andean forest and the paramo, live spectacled bears, pumas and more than 50 species of hummingbirds that fill the air with their magic.
Each tree planted, each hectare protected, is a commitment to the future, not only of these species, but also of the water that sustains Quito. Its conservation is key to the stability of the soil and the water supply in the city. Since its creation in 2001, more than 10,000 native species have been planted to enrich this habitat. Yanacocha is more than a reserve: it is a living hope for nature and future generations.

RESERVES
Tandayapa USFQ
The Tandayapa Cloud Forest Station is a living laboratory in the heart of the Tropical Andes biodiversity hotspot. Managed by Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), this station of about 200 ha is not only a hub for research and education but also the home of iconic and endangered species such as the Olinguito, Black-and-chestnut Eagle, the Cock-of-the-rock, and the Spectacled Bear.
Here, scientists, students, and local communities lead innovative projects in ecological restoration, wildlife monitoring, and conservation, developing practices that balance conservation with human well-being. Your contribution not only helps protect critical primary and secondary forest areas but also supports essential research for biodiversity conservation. By supporting this project, you become a direct ally in the fight for a more sustainable and biodiverse planet.
